5 Locations in Boise, ID for Engagement Photos
So you got engaged and starting to think about your engagement photos! First, congratulations and how freaking exciting!! Engagement photos are so important. They mark an important moment in your timeline, but it is also such a fun time to get capture photos with your love.
One of the most important features of your engagement photos is the location they are photographed in. It’s important to pick a location that you feel comfortable in, represents you, and a setting that you can see your photos being captured in! Idaho is full of diverse scenery and locations that are not too far of a drive outside of Boise. Here I will take you through 5 of my favorite locations in the Boise, ID area that are not only STUNNING, but are super easy to access!

This is my number 1 pick for a few different reasons. First, it’s so just damn pretty up there! Bogus is only 16 miles from Boise and is full of gorgeous locations along the road. If your looking for a location full of stunning greenery, colorful plants, and mountains this is an easy pick! Not only that but its super to hop around to couple different spots. We can (safely) take some fun and whimsical photos in the road, then drive a couple mins up the hill to a more greenery spot with views of the mountains behind!
No matter what time of the year you’re looking to have your photos done. Bogus is stunning spot.
Lucky Peak
I may be biased on this one as its one of my favorite places to be in summer, but it is also another stunning location and a staple of the Boise area! Lucky Peak is full of diverse locations. If swimming and hiking are a couple of your favorite actives in the summer, then is great spot to get your engagements taken in!
Grimes Creek
This is another great mountain forestry location close to Boise. It’s a little farther up the road from Lucky Peak, but comes with a cute little stream and cozy forest vibes. This spot also features more of Idaho’s gorgeous colors throughout the spring, summer, fall, and winter!
Military Reserve
Boise is known for its stunning foothills that sit in behind it. The Military Reserve is not only a great spot for hiking but a good spot to get your engagement photos to be captured in these gorgeous golden hills.
Hulls Gulch
Hulls Gulch is such a unique spot that features a cute creek, this little bridge, and the vibrant orange colors of the hillside.If you’re looking for a little unique pop of color in the background of your photos, Hulls Gulch is great way to go.
These are just 5 of the great locations I know of in the Boise area and work great for engagement sessions or any kind of session. They are all gorgeous, close to Boise, and you really can’t go wrong with any of them!
